Operation Type Form - Holes Path Control Parameters  2 Axis  Hole Cutting - Lead & Link Parameters  

  • Axis Type
    Sets the number of axes needed for the hole operation. Select 3 Axis to generate 3 or 5 Axis fixed face tool paths.  Select 5 Axis for simultaneous tool paths. The traverse motions between different holes will consist of linear or arc movements.

    VX automatically calculates hole orientations in spite of their definitions from point, arc, cylinder or hole feature data based on the geometry. Global collision avoidance is automatic.

  • 2x Hole Cutting - Center Cut Opdef Form - Lead & Links ParametersLink Type
    If Axis Type (see above) is set to 5-Axis, select from the following link types:

None

Automatic

  • Max Rotate Angle
    If Axis Type (see above) is set to 5-Axis, specify the maximum axis deviation between each traversal motion.



  • Safe Distance
    Use this parameter to clear link moves from the part.
