Flag Thread Feature

Threaded ShapeUse this command at the Part Level to specify a thread attribute on a cylindrical face. This is similar to the Flag Hole Feature command but only visible in 3D.

Required Inputs Required Inputs

  • Face - Select a cylindrical face.  On the end of the face nearest the selection point the "visual" thread attribute will be displayed.  Refer to the illustration above.

Optional Inputs Optional Inputs

  • Type - Select the thread type from the drop down list.  Here are the different types supported.

    Custom
    M
    UNC
    UNF
    ISO7
    ISO228
    NPT
    NPSM

  • Diameter - By default, the thread diameter matches the cylindrical face diameter.  You can also change the diameter here.

  • Pitch and Thrds/Unit - For all but Custom, the Pitch or Threads/Unit is supplied as the Diameter changes. Custom allows you to set all parameters.

  • Length - Specify the Length of the thread measured from the end of the cylindrical faced nearest where it was selected.  Refer to the illustration above.
