    ?Questions Section? Admin side menu.

  4. It will open the New Article page.  This page contains fields for the new article?s Language, VX Modules, TitleCategory, Content and any VX Command Calls associated with the article.  Each are described in detail below:

    Language
This is the target language for the article.  VXCADBase supports independent knowledge bases for each of the following languages.  Additional languages can be added as needed.

    English (default language)
    German
    Italian
    Japanese

    VX Modules
These check boxes are used to categorize your article for VXCADBase?s various indexes.  You can select one or more index to locate your article in.

    Question Title
This is the title of your question.  Please consider your title carefully.  The title is used to locate your article when users search VXCADBase.  It is also used to index your article in the various VXCADBase indexes.  Make sure your title contains keywords directly related to your article?s content.

    Select Category
This is the category where your article will be located.  You must select a category in order to save your article.

    If your VXCADBase status is:

      Editor:
You have the ability to create new categories.

      Writer:
If you need a new category, choose ?Pending Articles? under the ?PROTECTED CATEGORIES? section.  This will allow you to save your article.  Then use the contact Us form to request that a new category be added.  When doing so, be sure to indicate for which language the category is being requested.

    Article Content
This is where your article will be written.  VXCADBase provides an excellent HTML WYSIWYG (what you se is what you get) editor located across the top of the Article Content window.

    Command Calls
This field is optional.  It is used during the VX Interactive Help mode to display the proper VXCADBase article when commands are executed.  An example command call would be ?FtAllSwp? which executes the Sweep Shape command.  See How VX Interactive Mode Works with VXCADBase for more information.

  5. Make sure all required fields are completed.

  6. Once you have finished creating the your article, you can click on the ?Preview Article? button to preview it and then save it by clicking the ?Save? button from the preview page.

  7. If you are not finished with the article content, you can use the ?Save as Draft? button to save the unfinished article for later completion.
