If you make a mistake or change your mind, VX allows you to undo (Ctrl+Z) the last executed command.  If you change your mind about undoing a command you can redo (Ctrl+Y) it.  You can move back and forward through the undo/redo steps of your design.  Only a few viewing related functions are not logged as an undo redo step.

 

 

 

You can undo and redo commands during the active session by picking Undo or Redo from the Utility Tool Bar. Some functions are not logged as an undo/redo event such as panning, zooming, and other display oriented functions.

 

The maximum number of consecutive times undo/redo can be executed is defined in the VX Configuration Form.  The default is 20.

Undo/redo only occurs during the active session.  When a file is saved, the undo/redo history for the entire session is restarted.

 

The most important thing to remember is that you can undo/redo changes to a file during the active session before a file is saved.  Once a file is saved, the undo/redo history for the entire session (all files in the session) is deleted and begins again.
