Table Attributes Form - General TabThe General tab of the Table Attribute Form sets the general attributes for the User Table. These include margins, captions, origin, grid lines and grid colors. These attributes only apply to the table currently displayed in the Table Editor (see above). The OK, Reset and Cancel buttons apply for both the General and the Text tabs of the form.
 
  • Horz./Vert. Margins
    Sets the amount of horizontal and vertical margin. For example, a larger value for the horizontal margin will make each column in the table wider. A larger vertical margin value will make the rows taller.

  • Caption
    Select None, Row, Column or Both to determine if the row and column header captions are included in the table.

  • Origin
    Sets the location of the table origin. This is the table insertion point during the Insert option of the Table Manager (see above). Select from Upper-Left, Upper-Right, Lower-Left, Lower-Right or Center.

  • Border/Horiz/Vertical grid lines
    Check the box next to the grid lines (Border, Horz and Vert) that you want drawn when the table is inserted.  Then select a color for each from the color pallet

  • OK
    Accepts the table attributes and closes the form.  

  • Cancel
    Closes the form without changing any table attributes.

 

Table Attributes Form - Text Tab

Table Attributes Form - Text TabThe Text tab of the Table Attribute Form sets the attributes for all text included in the User Table. These include font, type, character settings, alignments and color. These attributes only apply to the table currently displayed in the Table Editor (see above). The OK, Reset and Cancel buttons apply for both the General and the Text tabs of the form.
 

Character Settings

  • Height
    The actual character height measured from the base to the cap of the character.

  • Aspect
    The factor of height defined as character width divided by character height.

  • Spacing
    The factor of character height defined as the distance between characters.  

 

Font Settings

  • Font
    Select the single and/or double byte text fonts for the table text. The font selected will appear in the preview window. The font number to the left of the font name is used during the Show Text Font Table command.

  • Color
    Sets the color for all text in the data table.

  • Type
    Refers to the character width plus Spacing (see below) for each character in the font. This is referred to as the bounding box of the font. Select from the following:

Normal
An appropriate bounding box will be determined by the system.

Proportional
The character width remains proportional to each individual character.

Fixed
The character width remains fixed and is determined by the Height and Aspect attributes (see below).

 

Alignments

  • Horizontal
    The manner in which the text is aligned horizontally about the insertion point. Select from the following:

Left
The insertion point is located on the left side of the text string.

Center
The insertion point is located in the center of the text string.

Right
The insertion point is located on the right side of the text string.

  • Vertical
    Refers to how the text is aligned vertically about the insertion point. Select from the following:

Top
The insertion point is offset (0.2 x Height) above the cap of the text string.

Half
The insertion point is located at the mid point of the text string.

Bottom
The insertion point is offset (0.2 x Height) below the base of the text string.

 

Other Options

  • OK
    Accepts the table attributes and closes the form.

  • Cancel
    Closes the form without changing any table attributes.
