Combine one or more shapes. First select the icon to set the command to add, remove or intersect shapes. Then select the base shapes to modify. Finally, select the operator shapes. Optionally, you can keep the operator shapes or select any bounding faces that will limit the scope of the operation. See Merge shapes before operation in the Part Settings Form for more information.

Required Inputs
Base The Base is the shape that will be worked on and will remain after the command is complete.
Operator The Operator is the shape that is being applied to the Base shape. It will be discarded after the command is complete unless the Keep shapes option below is checked. This shape can be open or closed.
Optional Inputs
Keep [add/remove/intersect] shapes Check this box to keep the shapes that you are either adding, removing or intersecting. They will not be discarded.
Boundary Select any bounding faces. The Operator must penetrate the Base. The Boundary face(s) will serve to trim the Operator shape. The Operator can be an open or closed shape.
This feature is very important when the Base is a thin wall and a straight extrude cannot be defined. (Think of a handle being added to a water pitcher)

The easiest way to picture this is:
The Pink side of a face is the inside or back of a face. The portion of the Base facing the pink side will be removed.
