Question Title Fillet 2 Curves (3D/2D)

Insert Wireframe (Part Level)
Insert Geometry > Fillets (Sketch/Sheet Level)

Fillet 2 Curves (3D/2D) Use this command to create a fillet between two curves. The required inputs include the curves and the desired radius.

Optional inputs include tangent and curvature controls, the trim and extension methods. See Optional Inputs below.

VX Tips & Techniques
You can lock the position, tangency and radius of curvature for the end points and the point being edited. Note that the locking of constraints only applies to mid-curve points while the point is selected for editing. Only the end point constraints can be locked against all mid-curve editing.

VX Tips & Techniques
Filleting a single continuous curve.
This command allows you to select the same curve twice! This allows a closed non-tangent continuous curve to be filleted.

  • Use designer arcs
Check this box to use a designer arc instead of a traditional circular arc. A designer arc is a NURBS curve that matches the tangency of the arc but has zero curvature at the end points. See Applying VX CAD - Using Designer Arcs for more information.

  • Trim
Specify if automatic trimming should be perform on the curves. Select from the following:

Trim Both
No Trim
Trim First
Trim Second

  • Extension
Use this option to control the path of the extended curves.

Linear
The extension follows a linear path.

Arc
The extension follows an arc path in the direction of curvature.

Reflect
The extension follows a reflective path opposite the direction of curvature.
