GD&T (Drawing Sheet Level)
Use the following commands to create GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols. These symbols are used at the Drawing Sheet Level to create a dimensioning scheme that adheres to the ANSI Y14.5 standard. GD&T symbols, frames, datums and targets can be created. In each case, the Dimension Editor is used to create the actual symbols.
GD&T Feature Control Symbol
This command creates a GD&T feature control symbol (FCS). Enter the FCS text or pick the folder icon to use the Dimension Editor (or RMB Editor). Select a location for the symbol.
Required Inputs
-
FCS text
The FCS text is created using the Dimension Editor. It will be shown here. You can change it here if you wish.
-
Location
Select the location for the FCS. A single pick will locate the box in space. If you want a leader, the first pick is where the arrow points subsequent points define the rest of the leader.
Optional Inputs
-
Leader Points
If you want the symbol attached to one or more leader arrows, select the points to locate the arrows.
