This icon toggles the operating mode to ordinate dimensioning. Similar to Baseline but each point selected receives an ordinate value measured from the first point. A dimension group is created.

With this dimension mode active, the Horizontal and Vertical Dimension commands contain additional options. You can also use the Edit Dimension Text Point command to move an ordinate dimension with its group.

If the points you need to dimension are close together, you may want to change the linear text orientation to vertical using the Dimension Text Attribute Form . If the points are really crowded, use the Auto Dogleg option . This option is available on each of the linear dimension option forms when the Ordinate Dimension Mode is active.
