Open File (Ctrl+O)Use this command to open a VX file or a non-VX file into the active session.

VX Tips & TechniquesThe file extensions (e.g., *.igs, *.stp) of non-VX files are only used by VX for listing them in the File Browser. VX reads the contents of the file to determine compatibility. If you have a non-VX file from a systems that is supported by VX (e.g., Parasolid, IGES, etc.) but the extension of the file does not match those listed in the File Browser, try renaming the file to the supported extension, and then import it.

VX Tips & TechniquesMake sure the View options of Windows Explorer is set to show file extensions. Otherwise, renaming will not provide access to the file extension.

VX Tips & TechniquesYou can also use this command to open (and execute) VX macro files (*.vxm) created using the VX Design Automation Language.
